End of Zero Week

The week after the marathon is called "Zero Week" because your body is shot and is just starting to recover. Monday - Wednesday were rest days. Thursday I did 2 miles and then on Friday, I walked about 2.5 miles. (Chris came with me.) Yesterday I had the choice of running 2-3 miles or another day of rest. Because of the car ride and other obligations I chose the additional rest day.

Today was a run "of about an hour, 6-8 miles max". I did the 5 mile loop at Valley Forge, knowing that I run slightly slower than the normal person. It was pretty nice out for the end of November. There were a lot of people out running and walking. I bet they were trying to work off some of that turkey!

I have a bit of a cold but I felt pretty good during my run. I brought tissues with me. I did 7.5 run-2.5 walk intervals so I wouldn't get too tired. I'm looking forward to a few more easy weeks of running as I continue to recover.
