Today was my third 3 miler of the week. It was hot out, so I ran it on the treadmill in the gym again. I did yesterday's workout late last night, so my leg's were pretty tired. I've found that I run slower on the treadmill than I run outside. I guess I push myself harder when there are more interesting things to look at. I definitely prefer to run outside but the weather has not been cooperating recently.
My training program is set up like this:
Mondays - Rest
Tuesdays - Short Run (3-5 miles depending on the week)
Wednesdays - Sorta Long Runs (3-10 miles)
Thursdays - Short Run (3-5 miles)
Fridays - Rest
Saturdays - Long Runs (6-20 miles)
Sunday - 60 minutes of non-running cardio
Every third week steps back so I will continue to get stronger. Mileage builds until about three weeks before the race, and then I taper towards the race. It's a total of 461 miles. As of right now I have already run 24 of them. That's 5.2%!!
