Last night I convinced Chris to join me on his bike for my 2.5 mile run. It was a little chilly, but not too bad. It was bright and sunny so at least it looked nice!

I was pushing the pace, but it didn't feel that way until the end! Chris normally plays Pandora on his phone and I feel bad that he has to cycle so slowly, so I tend to go a little faster when he's with me.

I've been getting in my runs SOLIDLY for the past 2.5 weeks. It's making it really easy to continue - I don't feel like 3 miles is horrible. Today is a rest day, and then I have a 5K tomorrow morning and a 5.5 mile long run scheduled for Sunday.

"Official" marathon training starts next week for the Via Marathon on September 7th. It's going to be tough to get through the long runs in the summer, so I'll have to wake up early. But I think it's doable. The longest I have to run on a full school day is 6 miles; I have a feeling I'll be doing some early morning runs on days I have grad class!
