Today was the Ocean Drive 10 Miler. I ran surprisingly well considering I hadn't trained very much. I was able to maintain a very consistent 10 minute/mile pace and I REALLY thought I'd be able to come in under 1:40. I was pushing myself pretty hard the last two miles and I pretty much had nothing left at the end, so I can't be TOO upset at those last 4 seconds. Plus I was only off my PR by a little over a minute and a half.

I liked the race a lot. It was much smaller than I'm used to. It started down at Congress Hall and then went up Ocean Drive to Diamond Beach and the Wildwoods. The last mile and a half was on the boardwalk which was a nice break for my legs. It was pretty windy though and a bit chilly for the end of March. Results aren't official yet, so when I find out I'll post my official time. Originally I had signed up to run the marathon but I wasn't doing enough training so I dropped down. Good choice...I can't imagine having to run another 16.2 miles. I think I'd like to complete the marathon in the future though - you run all the way up to Sea Isle which is cool.

Chris and I had a nice, quiet weekend down the shore. It was pretty chilly but we did manage to get out to Sunset Beach and walk around near the lighthouse in Cape May. Our hotel included vouchers for two breakfasts and dinner last night, but we did eat at Sam's Pizza on the boardwalk for lunch yesterday.

Overall it was a great weekend!
