I've been switching my planned runs around due to the weather, so I made up another three mile run from earlier in the week today. I missed Wednesday and Thursdays runs and then I did my "long" four mile run on Friday, cross trained yesterday, and got one of my missed midweek runs in this morning. Monday should be a rest day, but since Tuesday's weather looks iffy and I have an AM dermatologist appointment, yoga, and grad class, I'm going to try to get my three miles in tomorrow. (Which is day 5 of my five day weekend if anyone's counting.) I'm sure by Tuesday I'll be ready for a rest day!
I signed up for the Broad Street lottery. If I get in, it'll be my fifth time doing the race. According to the website, they're picking at lottery at this moment. Fingers crossed!
My brother, Dan, is going to run on a corporate team so he has guaranteed entry - jealous! I would LOVE to beat Dan but he was a runner in high school and college so he's definitely faster than me. He hasn't trained in years, but I still don't think there's much hope of me beating him. Maybe he'll do some training runs with me on the weekends on something.
Anyway, here are my splits from my chilly run today. I noticed that running feels "easier" when I'm freezing; I think I just concentrate on how cold I am and run fast to get home faster.
Mile 1: 11:19 (HELLO, ICE!!!)
Mile 2: 10:45
Mile 3: 10:47
